Being that Arizona is a huge producer of copper, my obsession with copper lead me to wonder about the connection of heat, minerals and melting. There have been many intense fires in the Southwest over the years creating such a strong heat. The name for melting copper is called smelting. This majestic snag, or dead tree, is molded with copper paint in its "warm" setting.
