The storms at high elevation during monsoon season are powerful and full of lightning and thunder. If you ever get caught in one, it can make you feel small and powerless. On one stormy day in July, there was an eerie feeling when we rode through a high pass on the Colorado Trail in a building storm, but our group luckily made it down to the next valley before the it decided to unleashed on us.
